Volt Energy Co-Founders and Managing Partners Antonio Francis and Gilbert Campbell Named to Ebony Magazine’s Power 100.


Washington, D.C.– Volt Energy is thrilled to announce our Co-Founders and Managing Partners Gilbert Campbell and Simon Antonio Francis have been named to Ebony Magazine’s Power 100. EBONY magazine has honored the heroes of the Black community for over 70 years. The EBONY editorial team selected the 100 most influential African-Americans in the country, achievers who have made noteworthy accomplishments over the past year. The EBONY Power 100 List highlights individuals from many disciplines, including business, health and science, media, sports, politics, and more.

Today, EBONY will celebrate the list of the most influential and intriguing men and women in Black America during an elegant and star-studded evening in Hollywood. The night will culminate with a special presentation for the legendary Quincy Jones who will receive the 2014 "Lifetime Achievement Award."

Gilbert and Antonio are both Howard University graduates and are committed to championing STEM education throughout the country. Under Gilbert and Antonio’s leadership, Volt Energy is largely recognized as an emerging national renewable energy development firm. Volt is a 2014 recipient of Amtrak and The Washington Wizards Pioneer Award, honoring companies that have made a positive impact in their community. Volt has also been recognized by Black Enterprise Magazine for outstanding achievement as a small business and was nominated for Black Enterprise’s 2011 Small Business of The Year award.
