Maintenance
Volt Energy offers optional maintenance contracts. Solar electric systems are a proven technology and are extremely reliable. Solar Photovoltaic (PV) cells were originally developed for use in space, where repair is extremely expensive. Solar PV still powers nearly every satellite circling the earth because it operates reliably for long periods of time with virtually no maintenance.
Solar panels have no moving parts, and therefore no potential points of mechanical failure. Recommended preventive maintenance is usually limited to semi-annual rinsing of the panels with water and monthly reading of inverter production. Our solar panels carry a 25-year warranty from the manufacturer.
