Antonio Francis is one of the co-founders and principals of Volt Energy. Antonio is a firm believer in value-add business and was driven to start Volt Energy due to his passion for global electrification and sustainability.

Under Antonio's leadership, the company has successfully completed design-build-transfer projects for the military, higher learning institutions, local municipalities, and commercial clients.

In addition to Volt Energy, Mr. Francis owns a real estate development and investment company, Francis Development. Francis Development founded in 2006 has developed and sold over $80 million of residential real estate and working on the development and long-term ownership of half a dozen multi-family green building projects in the DC metro region.

Before his business endeavors, Mr. Francis, a scientist by training worked in biotechnology for United Therapeutics a novel company with successful contribution to the Pulmonary Hypertension community. Prior to that Mr. Francis worked for Wyeth Pharmaceuticals now Pfizer.

Antonio was named to EBONY magazine's 2014 Power 100 List and The Amtrak pioneer award by the Washington Wizards and Amtrak for contribution to the greater D.C. community. 

Antonio has a B.S. in Biology from Howard University and a Masters in Biotechnology with a concentration in Business from Columbia University.
